So now, McLaren is contemplating a return to the car that a certain Lewis Hamilton helped develop for last year's campaign. Well they will still need a driver though to put it at the front come Saturday and give themselves a good chance of a decent result on Sunday. Fighting only to make it to Q3 will not do the job.
At the end of last year, everyone at McLaren and other Hamilton bashing specialists were cery much excited about the real possibility of Button or Perez lapping Hamilton consistantly this season. Now they are very concerned about Hamilton lapping both cars before the race goes to Europe.
By all calculations, it's possible, last Sunday at Melbourne Park, that Kimi could have lapped Perez if the race had gone on for another lap and even Button if the race had gone on for anoter 1.5 to 2 laps. Hamilton himself could have lapped Peres if he had 2 to 3 more laps and Button if he had 4 to 5 more laps. How sad
