@markfrankham - I think Jenson says what he has to say most of the time. He's paid we'll so he can't go shooting his mouth off when he's not happy. He's a team player. But he has also fallen foul of McLaren's sometimes inept strategy calls over recent years. Notably at Monza in 2010 when he went a completely different way on set-up, got in front of Alonso at the first corner and kept both Ferraris at bay and only lost the lead as a result of a mistimed & slower pitstop. I should imagine Button is truly thankful, who wouldn't be given what he's achieved, but I believe he had the chops to be in a front running team from 2004 onwards. He drove great that year and finished 3rd behind the Ferraris. It looked for a moment that BAR was going to be a major force, so he commited to them, then Honda, four years of mediocre cars until 2009. I think, at the very least, he's shown he deserves to be in a front running team.
