@richard, the software failure cost Webber points, and it was just the first race of the season. I would be surprised if some re-occurrence of this problem does not arise again during the season. All teams use the same software, so I would like the new ECU/software to be replaced with the old reliable ones before more points are lost.
It seems obvious McLaren knew of this possible problem because they said it would be corrected before the race began, which it wasn't.
The last thing we want to see is the drivers results affected by these glitches when we have a reliable alternative.
