You know the tires are totally cr*p when all of the teams basically elect to sit out the majority of FP1 for fear of using up tires they may want for the race. To see nobody racing full out anymore is ridiculous. No matter how much Pirelli wants to pretend that this is normal, it's not. Being able to manage tires has generally been a part of racing, but when it becomes the sole consideration, it just becomes random and boring. I know Bernie and the weak-minded broadcasters love the randomness of it all, as they equate randomness with being interesting, but I'm seriously considering forgetting about F1 until mid-season and checking back again to see if something has happened with the tires.
