dtn. you seem to be misreading the situation. BEFORE lap43, seb had caught webber at a high rate. that is what put him beside webber. any "team orders" only became operative at that point. webber then wanted the "team order" for seb to stay behind him, so as to ensure his win. the simple fact is that seb was the faster car. apart from that, webber did in fact fight back, maybe a bit agressively, so he was not just backing off. without "team orders" seb was going to get past him, being the faster car/driver. after the race, webber said that it was "his" win. i beg to differ. the win belonged to the fastest driver. if it was webber, he would have won. he should not have been relying on a message to vettel, to keep him in front.
