Vettel is obviously free to do as he likes, and after Sunday so too is Webber. Right or wrong, that's the bed Vettel has now made for himself.
What I don't get was why Mark didn't take the opportunity to close Vettel down in the closing stages when his tyres were in better shape. Sure, Vettels medium compound would have had more pace in them when he got by Webber but by race end Webbers tyres should have been better. Why did Mark do the team thing and put no pressure on Vettel at the end and force Vettel to wear his tyres out and perhaps make a mistake?
