This little incident made for some very exciting racing, and it is being talked about in circles that aren't usually talking about f1. No matter how the confusion contributed to the team melding together, or lack there of, the fans got to see an exciting end to what would have been a rather mundane race finish. It was absolutely thrilling to see Web and Seb duke it out, until eventually Web let off (or incorrect gearing?) in turn 4.
