It doesn't matter if Hamilton was on fuel saving, fact was Rosberg had been more economical and had the fuel to burn and therefore was faster, whereas Hamilton had burnt more fuel and therefore had to drive slower.
Maybe Hamiltons faster in even cars, but the cars wern't even at this point.
Were they were on different teams, would you refuse to pass the person in front because they're only slow because they're only fuel saving? Rubbish.
If I were Nico, I would argue I drove more economically and it was Lewis' Engineers that made the mistake not Nico's Engineers, so why should Nico's side of the garage be punished?
