No sense at all. If there is no cost, development, tyres, or engine limitation, then any driver could go for it. The problem is that their are limitations to the number of engines, number of tyres, etc that teams are forced to preserve whatever they can and if they think that being conservative in a race would be more beneficial then it is within their right as a team to employ tactics that would create a better outcome for themselves. The teams spend the money and Bernie takes it. Anything he says only benefits himself, his pockets, daughters, and businesses.
