edme yes the pit wall would know much more on the car data than the drivers. it is the pit that knows how much fuel is left, not drivers, pit crew have temperature data, engine data, tire data,weather and air temp data, all sorts of data and computers to extrapolate to end of race to work out best strategy. if engineers tell you to run at certain speed you need to trust them as ross brawn made clear to nico. team should not need to broadcast data to world just to convince driver to follow instructions. and car belongs to team, not to driver.
