In the final analysis, there may well be a simple explanation to why Seb told the press that he did not understand the call at the time.
Mark clearly understood it, otherwise he would not have referred to it in the de-briefing room, before the podium appearance! Seb stared at him blankly when he said it, but it is not Mark's fault if Seb had forgotten the meaning. Also, it was Rocky's job to remind him if he had forgotten.
To me, Horner seemed a little disingeneous in his explanations after the race, placing the blame on BOTH drivers. He clearly doesn't like blaming Seb, but facts are facts.
If this multi21 explanation is true, I certainly prefer this simple, logical explanation which makes more sense than all the "Seb-defence theories" being bandied about by Seb supporters on this forum, especially richard.
