I wonder how many of those who slag off BE were following F1 before he took it over and made it into a properly run sport/business. Before he took control, it was so totally disorganised, with FISA/Balestre mis-managing - a bunch of "blazers".
It seems to be a common theme with ultra-successful businessmen (or women) to be targets for abuse - which is usually little more than jealousy - try Bill Gates or (Sir) Richard Branson. He's not perfect, but F1 would very likely still be the relatively minor sport that it was in the 50's and 60's had it not been for BE's involvement.
