Whilst agreeing that 'things' go in cycles, you must also see that Maclaren are indeed enduring a lean time?
Last year 's car was arguably the quickest car. What went wrong?
LH and JB both fell foul of numerous Pitside **** ups.
The car itself started well but development lagged compared to rivals.
This must be considered a sin by Maclaren and from design through to application someone must carry that can?
The pit crew caused several race failures themselves.
Who was responsible for them?
They have kept the 'yes' man and got rid of the brat. Seems logical until you realise that LH did outperform JB overall and did so whilst almost losing his head at points.
A focused LH would have been a far better bet for another WDC.
Unfortunately, JB's WDC started with a car 2 secs faster than everything else. Sorry that's it. By the end of the season he was back in 4th, 5th and 7th whilst RB was still up there.
The fact other teams employed a No1 and. 2 driver system however bad for the sport
