Actually, my point was not meant to be literal. The point is, the reason we "need" fake tire degradation is that aero has become the factor that makes all the other fakery necessary. If we want the aero, then we should have max effort racing with aero, not hobbled racing to fix what aero breaks. But I really don't care. I'll continue to watch F1 and MotoGP. IMHO, MotoGP offers some of the best racing around, while F1 is becoming more of a goofy soap opera. Each season I care a little bit less what new silliness they layer in. At least for 2013 I get to see Rossi back on a Yamaha!
