Richard, no I don’t know any of the drivers contract details but I consider a contracted driver as being an employee and an employee to me means working for the employer and not against in any which way ever.
Re fuel saving and such like (last race) also number one and number two drivers (at Mercedes), I have a gut feeling that everybody and his dog were taken for a ride, in short I believe it was a bucket full of BS.
To me it looked more like both RBR and Mercedes decided that the points haul at the time both team orders were issued were the safest bet (there was more to risk than gain by letting drivers race it out), and I am in no way saying it was good to watch.
