dr graham.. it was a JOKE!!!!!!!! just to wind up all the conspiracy theorists! It pays to have a bit of a sense of humour. and as regards the tyres, even the commentators did not expect many to come out on softs. but there will always be some teams who want to have their moment of glory. rbr and mclaren were the clever ones. there was no way that vettel was going to be on pole, on tyres that were over a second slower, yet he went out on them. even without his run off, he would probably only attained 7th or eigth at the most. but with these lousy tyres, strategy is an important part of the race. the softees will have to change early, and will have all the back markers ahead of them. the others will come out in a spread out field, and should have clear tracks.
