This system has been in use on the Redbull cars since 2011 at least and likely earlier. Its surprising that nobody of note has yet openly questioned their use of this while all eyes are on Mercedes for copying it.
If people recall , Redbull were told by the FIA to change the system slightly after they were accused of altering the ride height in Parc ferme of the Canada GP.
