35. no, i never mentioned downforce, but yes, i did say that the merc was hard on its tyres. and today showed nothing. the soft tyres worked a bit better today due to higher track temps, but in practice, they were really chewing up tyres, and lulu even complained to pirelli. even a flat spot on them could create instant deflation. i am not sure if it is the new suspension system that has improved matters over last year, or not, but this is still causing a few problems on nicos car. but i still believe that tyres will be the main talking problem for all teams during the season. tody, the softs lasted 6-7 laps. i wonder how long the super softs would have lasted
