john. you usually post reasonable comments, but you are now showing a bit of chauvinism. maybe females do not have the same attraction to mechanical sports as males, but the ones that have competed have usually been quite successful. in the days of really tough racing (1920s) and when brawn was needed (not ross!), there was a female who was often victorious. (cant remember her name, offhand) then we have rallying, where pat moss manhandled an ah3000 to victories, beating top males. have you ever driven a 3000? you need muscles! and then we go on to the likes of michelle mouton, rosemary smith, ellen lohr, sabine schmidt etc etc. any of these would or could have been in f1. football is a bit different as it is a contact sport
