john. obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but have a look at the results. webber was even in a wlliams bmw, and got nowhere. his initial drive in the minardi did get him a fifth place in oz, but that was due purely to most of the fiels being eliminated. and you say he was offered a drive by renault, a top team? well they were not really a top team then, and apart from that, why was he not PICKED. no aspiring f1 driver would willingly refuse an offer from a TOP team. when he went to rbr, h didn t annihalate dc, a driver who had at least won races but was on the wane. it was not until seb joined rbr, that webber benefited rom having a better driver in the team. 9 wins in 12 years? better than some, i accept, but not the sign of a true champion.
