Lets be serious. Someone must be the backmarker. Usually they are the worst founded teams. Remember that a few years ago, Force India and Toro Rosso were the backmarkers, now they looks well set in the midfiled(especially Force India), and Toro Rosso had a real magic season back in 2008. But these two teams are the succesors of Jordan and Minardi. Caterham and Marussia came from nowhere, without a strong base, without an F1 traditon and without a very strong financial backing(as BAR and Toyota enjoyed in their first years in F1). So is normal that they are backmarkers.
