No doubt Alonso is very talented and clever on the race track, but I don't care how good a driver is, if last years Ferrari really was as bad as everyone makes out, then he wouldn't have been able to save it!
My conclusion is that the Ferrari really wasn't as bad as it's made out to be. Maybe it was in the first race or two, but they soon got it sorted.
I don't think it was Alonso's ability alone that made him a title challenger last year, it was down to the Ferrari team who got the car a lot more sorted a lot sooner than everyone thinks.
It's just a better story for everyone to say that it was only fast because of Alonso.
