Take a look at the standings, take a look at the amount of points scored over the same amount of seasons Dir, Hulk, Sutil. Also take a look at the other 'great one-off' performances from the likes of drivers such as maldonado as well as perez promising podiums, even kamui. Now can you honestly say that these drivers have shown consistency in terms of points scoring situations. I dont mean to go on here but if you compare what your saying by downbeating di resta and his performances in a midfield team, regardless of his team mates beating him, he is pretty much outscoring them with being in the points. In order to win a championship, you have to be in the points every week regardless to be in contention. What Dir has done at least is be close or in them and as you can see he is punching well above his weight.
