after quali, lulu was not very happy and said that he didn't know what was wrong or how to correct it. nico did not complain though. but it is hard to know what is wrong with the car. they have been playing around with the fricking suspension for a couple of years now, and whereas lotus have it right, merc do not have the right expertise. this suspension by raising the front under braking, is putting more load on the front tyres and probably overheats them more than the back, and this could damage handling. interesting that the reason lulu was told to alter his brake balance was because his front brakes were overheating and the rears too cold. again possibly due to what I said above? it would be interesting to see how the car would perform if they went back to normal suspension. sometimes it pays not to try and be too clever. don't forget, the merc ddrs was a downright failure.
