mr fill. I haven't come across those comments, but they appear to be a bit spurious. it is only the COMPOUNDS that are being changed. a bit like using a hard tyre instead of a soft. so why on earth would changes be necessary? apart from that, if the compounds were left unchanged, if what you are saying is true, then to catch up, merc, macca, rbr etc would all have to carry out the mods, to try and be competitive.
interesting that Pirelli use a lotus chassis for testing, so it is no wonder that lotus have not really been affected by the disintegrating compounds.
