sunny. yes. I don't understand it. I presume that sky have received some info on this, but it does seem odd. a cars aero is designed to compress the tyres enough to provide optimum ride height. soften the sidewalls, and the car will be pushed lower, spoiling the carefully calculated aero. who knows who will benefit or be affected b this, if it happens?
maybe the earlier revision to compounds was an initial reaction, which clearly didn't work and they have no alternative to revert to 2012 tyres?
