BUT Paul Hembry said TODAY that the teams were asked and offered the test possibility and some of them said yes and others said no. Presumably, of those who said yes, Pirelli were free to select the team they wanted for that test. He also said the test was designed for preparation of next year's tyres. The only slip-up was that Merc used this year's car instead of an older car. Sky TV's Ted Kravitz explained that Ferrari also had a similar test after Bahrain, but they used the 2010 or 2011 Ferrari, apparently.
So.....in the final analysis Hembry says all the teams were aware of the test (process) but Christian Horner says he had no idea. So who is being economical with the truth here???
Looks like we are in for even more controversies this season. All adds to the spice of the action, if you ask me!
