@Alex Great idea about the 3 race ban to even the odds. Haven't though about that before - great idea! From what I understand, other teams were approached about testing in general, some time ago and not specifically about this test. I also understand that they declined because they knew it would be against the sporting regulations - something Merc should have been well aware of. Yes Pirelli are at fault, but they are not trying to win WCC points - Mercedes are. Merc should have turned them down just like other teams. Besides which, they used a 2013 car and their current race drivers, both of which were not part of the agreement. BIG WHOOPS MERCEDES - BIG WHOOPS!
