there is something really weird going on over the tyres! Pirelli said that they wanted to revert to the softer sidewall Kevlar braced tyres, but the fia said they could not, and force india also vetoed the move. now it transpires that the tyres merc were testing in barca, were indeed Kevlar braced, ad were to be used at montreal. so merc were being given free access to data on softer walled tyres, whereas all other teams would have designed their cars to run n the stiffer tyres. now, Pirelli have said that the cars will not race on these softer tyres at montreal, but all teams can try them in practice! is this a climbdown by Pirelli? and why did they choose one team only (the most affected team)? has fia done an about face to allow the structura changes, which were not agreed by other teams?are fia complicit in all the shenanigans?
