First off to say that f1 engineers will not benefit is ridiculous they will in some way shape or form benefit from any kind of extra testing. Secondly to say that you did not know you were breaking rules is not acceptable ignorance is not an excuse when it comes to Formula One. I highly doubt they did not know the rules and if they did not then that also is ridiculous because they signed a multi-year contract to be the main tired supplier. and where was all of this laboratory testing to begin with? If the testing had nothing to do with this season or the tires breaking apart and it was truly down to the laboratory testing that's all those issues then why couldn't the contest have been done at the end of the season? it is a very well prepared and I repeat prepared statement and it all sounds good but I am guy who is not buying it!
