There are several things that lead me to believe Pirelli is being less than truthful. Going back to their statement prior to the Monaco GP when they said they would be bringing different tires starting with the Canadian GP. Second, both Mercedes did not have tire degradation as they had during all their previous races in 2013. Coincidence that it was after a secret 3 day test? I think not. Now, Pirelli is in spin control to say that they will not be bringing the new tires as previously mentioned to Canada. Why? Very suspicious to me after just a week earlier saying they would. Can you or anyone else PROVE that Pirelli used a 2014 compound? No, it's their word against anyone else because there were no FIA officials to oversee the test, so in essence, they can say anything they want. What is still undisputable is that both Mercedes and Pirelli violated the sporting regulations by using a 2013 car with both race drivers vs. a 3 year old chassis and test drivers.
