The RB8 on this year’s Pirelli is front limited in faster corner tracks. The RB8 has the best/most developed coanda system that uses the exhaust gases to enhance rear down force and that helps the rear tyres. The Mercedes has the least developed coanda system of the front runners and so the rear tyres suffer much more than others, they overshoot their operating temperature by 20 degrees in a short track time. The Mercedes front tyre suffers more on Lulu’s car because of his aggressive (braking) driving style. The 2013 Pirelli tyres do not like brake and turn at the same time.
