Matty, go read, get informed, (BBC Andrew Benson chief F1 writer 3 June 2013 last updated at 16.02 GMT). Matty, 90 percent of the testing done at the Mercedes test was on the 2014 tyres and the rest on 2013 intended to race on tyre, these new intended to race on tyre that Mercedes were allowed to test with their racing drivers are now being offered to others to test during an hour or so long season. The new tyres will use the same compound and shape but the construction will be changed back to last year’s tyres, they are intended to run 5-10 degrees cooler and so will last longer. Richard, Maria De Villota is very lucky indeed, Cooper’s article out to be produced as proof of the clandestine way Mercedes and Pirelli done the test.
