Richard, Pirelli's point is that it's the nature of the failure which has changed, and the tyre itself is actually safer than it was last year. I agree the sudden delamination at high speed is dangerous no matter where you are on the track,so change in this characteristic would be better. But Red Bull have not had this problem of sudden delamination at all during the season. They want to be able to do as Vettel's custom is, to drive away into the distance early on and dominate.ie have greater flexibility with there tyre management, which would help Vettel no ends.
