Ferrari would be crazy not to sign him up for at least another year. He has shown over the last 7-8 races that he's 95% back to his old form and as has been mentioned here, he has even given Alonso a run for his money.
If he didn't have to play a support role to the Spaniard I'd bet he'd be even higher on the stands but the fact is that's what he's there for and both him and Ferrari know that.
If he leaves the team, there's a good chance he'll find a seat (maybe even as a #1 driver) on another outfit. And with the new regulations being implemented next year, who knows what the team to be will be? If I'm Felipe, I'd give that thought some consideration... Surely Williams can't suck forever!! There's also Force India and even an unlikely spot as a #2 driver at Red Bull if that's his thing.
I hope it isn't. 'Cause I think this guy still has the potential to be a title contender as he proved in the past. But for that he'll need a decent car on a fair team.
