Now I wonder if McLaren will need to do some testing of their ECU units that they supply to the teams. They might need 5 days of testing and I'm they have a car available that they can use for the test. As long as it is run by the division that makes the ECU then all should be fine. I'm sure every teams can conjure up a scenario like this. Since the penalty doesn't fit the crime any benefits gained will far outweigh an penalty imposed.
