I can't imagine any other reason for having upgrades unless you were going to benefit from them! The upgrades they have introduced don't seem to have made the slightest difference, the gap between Mclaren and the frontrunners remaining pretty constant. Gary Anderson has said that they don't appear to know where they are going and he is a man who knows. My guess is that they will fail to improve the car significantly and that they will get nowhere near a podium this season unless there is some kind of freak result. We can only hope that they produce a better car for next season although I doubt they will have use of the best engines now that they have to buy them.
