Merc has stretched the pressure limits and so too has RB and others have been instructed that they were as many as 4 pounds under. We do not know the reasons, but I suspect it is likely the result of several problems, some Pirelli's fault, and others the teams. For instance, lower pressure allows a team to set up the sidewall flex to a greater degree and this increases the likelihood of sidewall punctures, and there were definitely curbs in play today. But they will find the answer, I hope. Today was crazy.
