Kind of dissappointing really that Newey would make a statement like this to push the RBR agenda. Yes, what happened last sunday was a shambles but although we have seen a couple flat tyres earlier in the year we haven't seen anything like the last race.
It may well have been the track that created the problem and eventhough the tyres should still not blow up of course, at other tracks there may very well be no issue at all. There's no point in overreacting.
Side note: it occurred to me that all the 4 drivers who had failures all have quite an aggressive style (well I don't know about Vergne but certainly hamilton, massa and perez). Maybe there's something there. They even said in quali you could hear Massa just jams in the throttle instead of progressively easing it in like some others.
