Button always follows the party line and Perez knows that it makes sense not to rattle the cage too much. It must be a huge disappointment for them both, Button hoping for one last shot at the championship and Perez assuming he had joined a top team. The car may have improved but everybody else is improving as well and from a better base in most cases. I don't see any wins or podiums this year which is a testement to Mclarens absolute failure to produce a competitive car. There are rumours of discord within the management and I would expect to see some significant changes if Mclaren is to return to winning ways. Time is running out for Button and his options are restricted, maybe he should join Webber in sportscars and forget about F1, at his time of career there is little to be gained driving a totally uncompetitive car just for the sake of being in F1.
