Sasha, your quoting of Brawn is word for word and therefore correct what is not correct is your interpretation of what he was talking about, Sasha no disrespect but to understand what Brawn was saying one needs understand the technicalities in tyre construction. “you could use it in qualifying and then swap it, and have it on different condition for the race” these Pirelli’s which are designed as (directional) tyres technically called (play steer) were being used on the wrong side from that intended for qualifying, this was being done to get them too optimum operating temperature much quicker then when used in the designed way, as the car would have to start on the qualifying tyres all they had to do is swap them left to right before the race.
