Ham2, while you may assume it does, the junior team scenario doesn't not necessarily automatically mean an instant promotion to the A-team as soon as a vacancy arises. Those junior team drivers need to be "ready" to go for championships - and only the team will know best when a driver is ready to make that transition.
With all his years of experience at different teams, Webber struggled to match Vettel in similar equipment for so many years. The time may not be right for either junior driver to go up against the 3-time champ. But Kimi is mentally equipped and more than ready for the challenge - provided the like of Marko do not start inteferring in team decisions.
