@objective - I have been saying for years that F1 ought to ban artificially induced downforce altogether. Ensure the cars are aerodynamically neutral which would allow them to follow each other through corners and slipstream without DRS/Kers or anything else. Corner speeds would be slower which would increase safety, reduce run off's and allow closer spectating. Straight line speeds would be higher with longer braking areas and more overtaking opportunities. Stop 'levelling' the playing field by standardising the cars and turning it into F/Ford and let the manufacturers use what engines they want. We are watching a micro managed sport which has destroyed the point of F1, to find the best manufacturers, not the best drivers! Eradicating aero would slash the cost of competing and encourage more manufacturers and sponsors. Kers is nothing more than trying to justify the sport to the greens but they know better than anyone that there is more fuel used in transporting the circus to a race t
