@objective - getting rid of refuelling and tyre changing in the past didn't work in the 80's. The cars were too fat and performance over the race distance was too diverse which ruined the spectacle as the compromises in car design were too great. These are sprint cars, they need to run as light as possible and whilst I agree with minimum driver/car weight combinations to allow bigger drivers to compete, everything ought to be pared to the minimum.
