If RBR don't go for Kimi (or rather, if Kimi doesn't commit to what would be expected of him at RBR off the track in spite of RBR's easy going image), I think they should go with Ricciardo who clearly has more speed, if not necessarily racecraft. He's kind of like MW in that way except hopefully for him a bit faster than Mark in his latter years.
It's a question of do they want someone who might have a shot of actually challenging Vettel and maybe taking over from him as a number one driver in a few year when Vettel inevitably steps into the red car (MIGHT have)...then pick Ricciardo. If however they're only looking for a stop gap who hasn't got the sheer speed to threaten Vettel over the next couple years of Seb's contract but has enough race pace to score points for the constructors then go with JEV.
