Raikonnen had 5 poles in comparison to Montoya's 2 in 2005, although we should bear in mind that Montoya missed a few races and participated in some weekends at far from 100%. 2006 Raikonnen got 3 poles whilst his teammate Fisichella got 0, which is respectable although we all know Fisichella was never a top tier driver. In 2007, the championship winning year, Massa Got 6 poles compared to Raikonnen's 3. In 2008 Massa got 6 poles compared to Raikonnen's 2. Obviously f1 is about what happens on a Sunday not a Saturday and that is why Raikonnen won the title in 2007 and is 2nd in the championship this year, he ups his game on a Sunday. But bearing in mind that at Raikonnen's best he was out-qualified by Massa and right now Grosjean seems to not only have the measure of Raikonnen on a Saturday but Sunday as well in terms of raw speed it is very hard to see him getting anywhere near Vettel if he goes to Red Bull.
