Well yeah 'professional driver' can be interpreted in several ways I guess. Obviously you have the guys at the topteams that just receive a paycheck to step in the car but then 'even' guys like Sutil and Hulkenberg need to bring a couple of sponsors...But they are paid to drive, just more directly connected to personal sponsors instead of by the team directly which in turn has its own sponsors. Already you could then argue what's the difference between Sutil and his medion/caprisun sponsoring and FA with Santander...
I think the pure paydrivers are those who have their families or family relationships foot the bill, where it's really more like a hobby at a high level in a way instead of a realistic profession that puts bread on the table.
