victorBT33 - that's not sandbagging, that's going as quick as possibly on different options of worn tyres with different levels of fuel. Like they would have to in a race. Sandbagging is going out on supersofts with 3 laps of fuel and easing off the lap to make it slower than it could be. They have limited pre-season testing and none during the season. Ultimate qualifying speed can be achieved during a race weekend, but they will always need race pace to win and that's where this testing helps.
