Euro: Kumho extends Euroseries deal

The F3 Euroseries has confirmed that it will extend its partnership with tyre supplier Kumho into the 2009 season.

The deal, which has run since 2003, has been extended through to the end of 2011, ensuring that all cars racing in the series will continue to run on Kumho rubber.

In the 2008 season alone, Kumho supplied the teams with some 8,000 slick tyres and about 1,500 wets.

“The teams are very happy with the tyres' consistent performance level representing the basis for good motor racing,” Walter Mertes, managing director of the Formula 3 Euro Series Marketing GmbH, said.
