The coming-together of the British and Euroseries F3 championships at this weekend's Tango Masters at Zandvoort will see Carlin Motorsport head to Holland with a six-strong driver line-up - although the squad includes a handful of unfamiliar faces.

The current British F3 champions will be represented by regular UK runners Daniel Ricciardo, Max Chilton and Henry Arundel, as well as Euroseries driver Jake Rosenzweig, but the quartet will be joined for one-off appearances by Belgium's Laurens Vanthoor and Italian Samuele Buttarelli.

Ricciardo, Chilton and Arundel have already demonstrated their talents in Carlin colours, having taken three wins and six podiums between them already this season, but will be joined in the team's fourth British series car - previously campaigned by Oliver Oakes and Robert Wickens - by Buttarelli, who currently competes in Spanish F3. The 17-year old has just a single year's experience in open-wheel racing, and will face a steep learning curve at Zandvoort.

“I'm really looking forward to racing with Carlin at Zandvoort," the Italian admitted, "This is my first year of F3, so I know there will be a lot to learn, but with the help of my manager and driver coach, Emilio de Villota Jr, I'm sure I will improve with each lap. We are planning to do a one-day test before Zandvoort, which should help me a little in getting used to the team and car. For sure, there will be a lot to learn, but I can't wait.”

Vanthoor will join Carlin regular Rosenzweig in the second of the team's Euroseries cars, having seized the opportunity presented by usual incumbent Brendon Hartley continuing his spell in the World Series by Renault. The Volkswagen-backed Belgian currently leads the German-based ATS Formel 3 Cup, and finished sixth on debut in last year's Macau Grand Prix, so will be able to bring a little experience to the garage as series rookie Rosenzweig makes his first appearance at the Masters.

“It's an honour to race for a great team like Carlin and a great opportunity to get a good result," Vanthoor insisted, "It's difficult to know what to expect at Zandvoort, as it's a new team, a new car and a new track for me, but I will do my very best to get the best result possible. I think, if we work very hard, we will do well, even with my lack of experience in these surroundings.”
